– System size : we are considering a green house with 4 to 6 system with a 10m3 fish tank each. So I am guessing 4 to 6 times 60 square meter of biofilters accordong to the V:A ratio
– Main crops : we want to produce tomato, pepper, leafy greens and okra,
– Region : Senegal, West Africa, region of Thiès
– Type of ponds : lined earthen ponds stocked with tilapia
What I meant earlier is that crops and system parameters can be changed. We believe it’s best to design such a project on the advice of experienced farmers, rather than just building something that looks good to us.
The goal is to make the system economically sustainable and eventually replicable.
