The only reason the video exists is because you and potent ponics used Owen’s hybrid system as a way to discredit iAVs, in your own words “definitely not the hassle system some folks claim” – now, unless there’s a hidden community out there making claims about Owen’s system, it can be deducted that the two of you are discrediting iAVs.
The video is not about you, and not about steve, this is about the team of researchers that both of you ignore and talk shit about. All those scientists, mentioned in the video, those people built the foundations you and steve profit from. You put on a friendly public face, but what’s below the surface is different from the way you present it.
In summary, what you think about sand beds is none of my business, whether you use the word iAVs or not is none of my business, whether you win or lose is none of my business, I made the video for one reason – to honour those that deserve our respect. All those scientists are why the video is made Rob, get ya head out of your own narrow ass and stop attacking the messenger while you never attack the science……and you keep on doing it, you and steve, a pair of social media bullies.

If you really cared you could say, “Hey Mitch, guess what, it turns out that for at least two decades before iAVs, Dr. Merle Jensen was doing EXACTLY what you are proposing. In fact, Dr. Merle Jensen later became a mentor to Dr. McMurtry, and so essentially iAVs originated from sand-culture hydroponics…………guess what else Mitch? Professor Doug Sanders also had extensive experience with sand-culture and is known around the world for his work with that. Even better, they both left detailed documentation and research so you can take advantage of all the work they did. Oh, and also Mitch, as the iAVs folk often say, the sand must be inert – no calcium. In fact, Merle Jensen had quite a lot to say about that when he was trying to use beach sand to grow crops. You could say, beach sand is made up fro shells and other things, but most sand is made from weathered down quartz. So yes Mitch, all this has been extensively tested and documented so you already have a head start.” ………but no, you have your own agenda Rob. When you ignore science and refuse to credit them, you make life worse for people around you, you hinder them instead of helping them. All of this lack of professional courtesy is the sole reason for the satire video. The legacy of Sanders, Jensen, Nelson and many others deserves recognition and respect.
